Go "all in" and select one of the Breathe-Easy Start-Up Packages (18, 12, or 6 sessions), or start with the traditional Club Membership. You can also choose to go a la carte and purchase a drop-in pass or a 10-pack of drop-in passes to access Open gym and BFA workouts of the day or purchase Personal Training separately.

Comprehensive baseline assessments, CPR-trained staff, and an onsite AED set us apart as a trusted space for those who may feel underserved or at risk in other gyms.

Our prime location on Don Knotts Boulevard, just steps from the Caperton Trail, also integrates opportunities for outdoor activities.

What level of fitness is required to start?
All fitness levels are welcome. Individuals who have completed physical therapy and are ready to transition to routine exercise would be appropriate for an individual fitness assessment to see what kind of exercises would be best for them. Your individual assessment will identify safety issues before you start so that you can make modifications when needed, particularly for individuals who have completed physical therapy and are transitioning here for routine exercise. The BFA Group workouts have dual track programming to accommodate different goals in the same class, whether you are looking for functional fitness or athletic performance. The Breathe-Easy start-up packages offer access to special weekly group classes on Saturdays for new members to review fundamental movements.
Can children join?
Membership is limited to adults. BFA Fitness Club focuses on meeting the needs of individuals looking for a place to exercise safely when they are in their 40s or up, but anyone 18 or older is welcome to join. We understand that children may sometimes accompany their parents to the Club. While the children cannot use the equipment, we think it is great for them to watch their parents be healthy role models!
Can workouts be customized to my goals?
Absolutely, we offer Functional Fitness and Athletic Performance tracks with modifications for personalized goals.
What benefits does your app offer?
Our app allows you to reserve your spot in class, make personal training appointments, and log workouts to stay on track with your fitness journey.
What features and amenities can I enjoy as a BFA Fitness Club member?
An air conditioned workout environment helps us provide a comfortable and pleasant workout experience for Club members. On nice days we are also looking forward to opening the garage doors and taking advantage of our scenic location beside the rail trail. We also know that Club members may want to fit in their exercise before work so we have shower facilities with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and towels available. We also have a filtered water filling station.
Do you offer individual fitness assessments?
Yes, it's the first step towards Club membership to tailor plans to individual needs.
Are there virtual workout options?
Yes, we program at least one group workout weekly that requires minimum equipment so that it can be done virtually. This allows you to stay on track with your fitness routine if you are busy or traveling.
